Concussion Awareness and Safety
At Rock Ridge Youth Hockey Association (RRYHA), player safety is our top priority. We are committed to promoting concussion awareness, prevention, and proper management to ensure the well-being of all players. Minnesota State Law and Minnesota Hockey regulations outline essential protocols that every coach, official, and volunteer must follow to protect young athletes from the risks of head injuries.

Coach Concussion Certification Requirement
According to Minnesota State Law, all coaches and officials must complete initial concussion training before participating in any team activities. Minnesota Hockey also requires refresher training every two years to ensure coaches stay up to date on concussion safety protocols.
✅ Certification & Acknowledgment: Each coach must complete a certification and acknowledgment form confirming their understanding of concussion prevention and management. This form must be submitted to RRYHA before engaging in any team activities.
